In the fuel division of Rosatom, two new projects have been implemented to re-equip in-plant electric vehicles with the installation of modern energy storage devices on lithium-ion batteries. Thirteen units of logistics electric transport were re — equipped at the Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant (PJSC "nzhk"), and eight vehicles were re-equipped at the Chepetsk Mechanical Plant in Glazov (JSC ChMZ). At the same time, in the case of ChMZ JSC, the first project in the nuclear industry for the supply of energy storage devices under the lease scheme with the option of buying out equipment was implemented.
The supplier of equipment for both projects was LLC "Cathodic materials "(a subsidiary of JSC" TVEL") — an industry integrator of Rosatom in the field of business" Energy Storage", the production site — NPO" Centrotech " (an enterprise of the Fuel Company TVEL in Novouralsk, Sverdlovsk region).
Lithium-ion batteries have a number of advantages over lead-acid, alkaline and gel analogues, providing the customer with operational and economic efficiency. They have a longer service life, do not have a "memory effect" and can be recharged at a convenient time, which reduces equipment downtime. LIA drives are sealed, maintenance - free, and charge from a regular household outlet without requiring a separate room to recharge, freeing up space and staff.
"ChMZ electric transport participates in the round-the-clock technological process, so a long idle time for charging is unacceptable. When replacing batteries on electric cars, our specialists took into account the specific capacity, service life, fire safety and energy efficiency of lithium-ion batteries, which differ favorably from alkaline ones. It is also important that the supplier's specialists fully support the project — perform installation, train maintenance and operating personnel, give a three-year service guarantee, " said Mikhail Saltykov, Chief Power Engineer of chmp JSC.
"In the segment of energy storage for logistics special equipment, we offer the market a comprehensive solution: from feasibility studies and design to installation of equipment and post-warranty service. We are ready to meet individual customer requirements in terms of technical parameters, as well as offer flexible terms and formats of cooperation. In particular, we have already implemented the first delivery project under the lease scheme and intend to also start leasing deliveries. Such formats give the customer additional flexibility in the financial issues of implementing equipment modernization projects, " said Emin Askerov, General Director of Cathodic Materials LLC.
